StormHaven began with a simple belief: rats deserve the very best we can give them.

Like many rat owners, our journey started with a deep love for these intelligent, affectionate, and often misunderstood animals.

Over the years, that love grew into a passion for learning, improving, and finding new ways to enrich the lives of the rats in our care. As we searched for products that met our standards, we often found ourselves wishing for options that were more thoughtfully designed for rats, created by people who truly understood their needs.

So we decided to create them ourselves.

Created From Experience

Every product we offer was born from real-life experience caring for rats. Our forage mixes, wellness blends, hammocks, travel carriers, and future product lines all began with a simple question:

"What would make life better for our rats?"

The answer wasn't always found on a store shelf. Sometimes it meant researching herbs and botanicals. Sometimes it meant sewing a hammock that better suited the way rats actually sleep.

Sometimes it meant designing products that solved problems we encountered in our own rat room.

Many of the products available today were first created for our own colony long before they were offered to others.
