StormHaven Rattery was founded with intention, not impulse. While breeding was not part of our original plan, a deep respect for genetics, combined with a long-standing fascination with the diversity and complexity of the fancy rat, ultimately guided this decision. Rats are remarkable animals—highly intelligent, deeply social, and capable of forming strong bonds—and these qualities deserve to be preserved and strengthened through responsible breeding.
Our goal is to thoughtfully develop healthy, well-tempered, and long-lived lines through careful selection, record-keeping, and ethical breeding practices. We are passionate about understanding genetics, exploring variety in coat and color, and working toward meaningful improvements within our lines—always with health and welfare as the priority.
